Búger is one of the smallest and most beautiful villages in Mallorca, perfectly located inland in an elevated position on a hill with great views to the Tramuntana Mountains and on down to the north coast. The municipality is brilliantly connected to the main road network and is at most a 15-minute drive from the fabulous beaches of Alcudia, Puerto Pollensa and Playa de Muro, etc., and the airport is just 30 minutes down the motorway.
Surrounded by pretty countryside and cultivated fields with almond and carob trees and numerous windmills, Búger is the perfect starting point for hiking and cycling.
The daily activity of this quiet village is mostly concentrated along the main street where on Saturdays there is a small market selling fruit, vegetables, plants and some textiles. Here you can also take time out in one of the local café/bars and enjoy a typical tapa or sandwich in a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. Services are basic, including a grocery shop, bank, pharmacy, primary school and bus stop. Not forgetting the bakery, which provides freshly baked bread every day and is famous for its excellent ‘ensaimadas’ and ‘cocas’.
Life in Búger is simply mellow - it is the perfect place to wind down and reconnect with nature and village life, whilst still only being a few minutes away from the lively market town of Inca and the fabulous Port of Alcudia.
